For our first Belle&Kate Adores, we talked to Chelsea Islan. The actress turned entrepreneur is now ready to tackle every challenge as the person behind Sol et Terre. As a poineer in lab grown diamond brand in Indonesia, Chelsea has a bigger plan in blending luxury with ehically eco-conscious principles in her business.

1. How does it feel being an entrepreneur? What are the challenges that you've successfully overcome?
Being an entrepreneur is something else. We are forced to always think outside of the box and as the CMO of Sol et Terre, I am trained to be creative and I need to always seek for new ideas, ideas that are relevant to the millenials and Gen-Z. I feel happy being an entrepreneur because I have been wanting to have business and run one on my own. Sol et Terre brings new colors into my life and especially it has an amazing purpose for the planet and people around me.
2. How to be confident in starting a luxury brand?
It's important to have a branding strategy and keep the quality of our luxury brand. Quality over quantity when it comes to our products, we make sure to do quality control every now and then. We need to be extra conscious and aware.
3. Describe Chelsea Islan's personal style in 3 words.
Classic, elegant, and chic.
4. How do you describe Sol et Terre as a brand?
I would describe it as a brand that gives hopes and light, the meaning of the name itself derived from Latin; Sun & Earth. We are hopeful to bring new light of hope to the jewelry industry.
5. What are your message to every emerging female entrepreneurs out there?
To always be yourself and love what you do. You can build any brands or products as long as your heart and soul is in it 100%. Be proud of being a female founder and it is time for female founders to shine. Be the change you want to see in this world by contributing and also creating new brands that would be impactful for the society.
