Read our interview with her below.
1. How do you define your personal style?
I believe my personal style is constantly evolving. Over the past few years, I've gravitated towards minimalism and simplicity, opting for clothing that is both comfortable and functional. My profession as a photographer has shaped my personal style and I feel most at ease in masculine cuts and oversized silhouettes. Above all, I love timeless, essential pieces that I can hold onto for years to come.
2. What are your views on vintage luxury items?
My most cherished items in my wardrobe my Lanivatti pieces and all my vintage finds. As a fashion photographer, I love staying up to date with the latest styles and trends, but my heart always leans toward a good vintage item. I only shop when there's a specific need, and even then, I prioritize vintage or secondhand options. This way, even though I'm buying something new, I'm not contributing to the overproduction of fashion and textile waste.
3. When it comes to buying vintage, what considerations should one take?
When buying anything, I always consider whether the item be comfortable and wearable for everyday use, or its potential for special occasions. I also prioritize its longevity in my wardrobe, aiming for items that will remain relevant for at least 3-5 years. If is it an investment purchase, I scrutinize its condition and resale potential. Moreover, when purchasing vintage items, I carefully consider for items were made to a higher quality during the past decades, and only get better with time and wear.
4. What is your favorite vintage watch, and why?
I cherish my Cartier Tank Must for its versatility as the quintessential day-to-night timepiece. It's the elegance of simplicity that transcends trends and eras.
5. How do you incorporate vintage luxury items into your wardrobe?
As the owner of a clothing brand, my shopping preferences lean towards accessories like jewelry, watches, bags, and other items that fall outside of our brand's production scope. I choose pieces that seamlessly complement my existing wardrobe, thus allowing me to mix and match effortlessly. Lanivatti is deeply rooted in craftsmanship, timeless designs, and sustainability. Therefore, I strive for consistency by choosing items that resonate with these fundamental values and aesthetic principles.
