In a poignant display of compassion towards cancer fighters, Belle&Kate ROOM joined hands with Yayasan Dunia Kasih Harapan (@gelangharapan) and Ghea Resort (@ghearesort) to host a fundraising event titled "Belle&Kate ROOM Private Event: Charity Auction 2023". The event took place at the elegant Tom's by Tom Aikens, nestled within The Langham Jakarta, on Monday, July 31 2023.
This annual fundraising gala, a tradition upheld by Belle&Kate ROOM, serves as a testament to the brand's commitment to giving back to society. It also provides a platform for loyal Belle&Kate ROOM customers to come together and collectively support noble causes, including humanitarian efforts.
In 2023, Belle&Kate ROOM collaborated with Yayasan Dunia Kasih Harapan, founded by a trio of compassionate individuals - Wulan Guritno, Janna Soekasah-Joesoef, and Amanda Gratiana. The collaboration aimed to channel proceeds from the auction towards the renovation of House of HOPE - Raditha Onkora, a shelter for cancer patients. House of HOPE is managed by the oncology doctors of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta.
Through this event, Belle&Kate ROOM auctioned off 25 handbags from their @belleandkate.h collection and 6 paintings by Yogyakarta-based artist Erica Hestu Wahyuni, specifically created for Belle&Kate ROOM. Additionally, Ghea Resort contributed to the auction by offering four exclusive fashion pieces from their collection.
According to Ardine Nakety, the Founder of Belle&Kate ROOM, Erica's unique artwork symbolizes the philosophy of harmony among the Earth and its elements, including humans, animals, mountains, seas, and everything within it, all complementing each other. It was this profound message that inspired Ardine to auction her favorite artist's collection in a fundraising event aimed at helping others in need.
The auction session was a lively affair, graced by invited guest who included loyal Belle&Kate ROOM customers and prominent Indonesian influencers. Among them were Ayu Dewi, Wulan Guritno, Renita Sari, Raina Anjari, Claudia Sofyan, Renny Sutiyoso, Indah Soewandy, and Rosalindynata Bakrie. Additionally, Prof. Dr. dr. Soehartati Gondhowiardjo, Sp.Onk.Rad (K), the Chairman of the Indonesian Radiation Oncology Specialist Doctors Association (PORI) and the founder of Raditha Onkora Shelter, was present to offer her welcome and support at the Belle&Kate ROOM Private Event: Charity Auction 2023.
